With the non renewable sources namely, fossil fuels and electricity, constantly depleting, attempts are being made to encourage the use of solar energy. It also does not cause pollution, making it eco friendly and is available in profusion anywhere. It is mainly copious in tropical areas but as we know, it IS available throughout the world! The main reason why solar energy is so green, is that there are no by products of producing electricity with solar energy as a source. solar heating also makes use of equipment that does not affect the environment in a negative way. Saving the environment doesn’t mean you have to walk to work everyday or start using a bicycle. Of course, they do count, but changing your energy sources can help reduce your carbon foot print in the long run, and is an eco friendly, feasible and independent way to power your needs!
